Baby’s Bangai’s in the small display!

How big was the display? I wonder if there is a critical mass where the aggression gets diluted out over too many individuals. But at $40-60 each I can’t see someone spending $400 or more to try that out and risk losing fish. I suspect it also depends on overall tank size. That’s why I wonder...

    Brine shrimp

So i bought some of these. I could not get them to stick to any magnets. I don't know if there is a special type. I used various magnets and nothing.

Specifically, which corals like nutrient rich water?

Let me rephrase this, what corals like high nitrates and phosphates? G

Baby’s Bangai’s in the small display!

Some updated pics. I wish these fish would hangout like this when they get older. It is really cool to see them move as a group. With their patterns it creates a cool shimmer like effect. From what I have read or seen they will pair up and eventually kill off their competitors. Makes me wonder...

Specifically, which corals like nutrient rich water?

Macroalgae have not done well in there for some reason. I have a hammer and candy cane in there. The NPS sounds interesting. Feed two to three times a day. Pretty heavy for a 60g tank.

Specifically, which corals like nutrient rich water?

Hello, My QT tank is slowly becoming a bit of a display tank. I feed the fish pretty heavily since one is a Copper Band butterfly that is still learning to eat something other than shrimp. I don't seem him graduating to the display any time soon. So, I thought about adding some sort of hardy...

Your no. 1 (overlooked) thing to plan for when going on extended vacation

I just set up my trident. Twice a week I double check using my Red Sea test kit. I’m out of town 8 days and so far I’m pretty confident looking at the trends.

    Eric's 125 build.

I’m a little late to this but glad the box fish is alive. I hear stories of them nuking a tank when stressed. Sounds like getting stuck in a drain would do this. Doesn’t look like anything bad happened. I wanted to get a pair for my tank but I worry about them releasing toxins. Any thoughts?

So I assume you are doing manual testing of ca and alk? Have you noticed any trends you could work off of while your gone?

Can I put zoas in between torches?

Probably leave it alone. When the torches grow that space will be used up soon.

    Magic: The Gathering Arena

Love Magic! I’m in for next frag swap but it’s been years since I have played. Lost all my OG cards from the 90’s in a move. Can’t imagine what those would be worth now.

    Fragging advice for this zoa.

Its carib sea dry rock. That stuff is hard to chip away or break. I suspect the saw might be my best option.

    Fragging advice for this zoa.

Hello, I have never fragged a zoa before. Usually I just drop a rock on them. The climb on, and that’s my frag plug. This is one solid rock. Just wondering what the advice would be. These are Jedi mind trick zoa’s.

THIS SATURDAY!!!! June 7th fragging workshop. PLEASE RSVP

Unfortunately, we are celebrating my son's birthday that day. No matter how much I try I don't think this is how he wants to spend his birthday. Just need a little more time to make him a reef nerd. I do have a large purple stylo colony I can donate for fragging if someone can pick it Friday...

    Lanthanum dosing, check my math…

Hello, Decided to finally try lanthanum dosing for my tank. I wanted to make sure I got the math right. Here we go: Phosphate Rx: per the calculator link Derek_sr posted. To drop my phosphate by 0.1 for a 180g tank it would be essentially 12 drops (I think the calculator said 11.8). Phosphate...
