    Cleaning return pumps

You can also use a vinegar bath if you have some sitting around. You can get 2 gallons of Four Monks vinegar at Costco for really cheap.

    First Reefing adventure.. 65G AIO

The lack of coloration/loss of colors in the sps is usually a sign of a barren tank without the necessary nutrients (nitrates and phosphates). There's no bioload for the corals to feed on and can't really be remedy with the water changes. Here's an example from one of my sps in the past. It...

    Eric's 100 gallon adventure. (Formally 40g)

Looking good, but what's up with the heater sitting around in the back right corner of the tank? Can't you stick it in your overflow or in the sump instead?

    Waterbox Cube 20G

Was able to pick up a couple pieces of coral rubble from an established tank. Brushed the surface of them a couple of days ago and starting to see signs of coralline on the rock today.

Sorry for your loss. I still remember that fish from one of my past visits many years ago.

    Anna & Pablo’s RSR P650

The peps should have no issues surviving in your sump. I had some aips (100s) in my overflow box and sump before and stuck 4 peps in each area. It took them awhile, but they were able to finish up all the aips that were in there. Gross overflow box full of aips (covered all 4 walls)

    Eric's Biocube 16.

Let me know if you ever decide to sell some of those sphaghetti worms. Also, that yellowish blob that you're inquiring about is indeed a sponge. Not much to worry about it since it's part of a healthy/established tank.

    Steve's 20 Gallon Nano

I've used it in tank (wet) before and didn't have any issues with it other than the slight cloudiness. Your protein skimmer will go nuts so you might want to turn it off or just have it overflow into another container. No issues with the fish or the corals from using it underwater.

Sounds like you're doing one of those 4 months cycle with utilitarian fish/cuc for long term sps care.

Love the attention to details that you put into this setup. Can't wait to see how you fill it in.

    Waterbox Cube 20G

~6 days in operation. Not as dry as I'd prefer but considering its age not too shabby. One of the first sps to go into the tank as a tester. Green cap. Added some more sps a week ago and they seem to be doing well, including this tenuis. The tip has grown a bit (~.25") and it looks meh...

    LF Leng Sy Monti

I'm getting back into the swing of things and seeing if a buddy of mine, that I haven't contacted in the last 2 years, is still deep into sps. At one point in time we did split some very nice pieces together. The OG PM was one of the pieces, alongside the old school pink panther (both very slow...

    Gem Tang Price Drop?

No kidding right? I saw those gems there a few times and it's tempting as hell, but can't due to tank size. Ended up asking Karson to order a Starck's damsel for me instead (he brought 6 in). Sucker doesn't mow algae down like a tang does, but so far it's doing a good job nipping away at the...

    I am so tired....

Build yourself a "chair" which nests over the say 20G (or whatever size container)? I built this out of 2x4s and a small piece of ply awhile back to hold a salt bucket. Doubles over as a seat that rolls around (installed casters).
