Anemone + Nem Cup Yay or Nay?

They came from my local ace hardware, but I think any hardware or craft shop with a gardening aisle would have something close. Was thinking of trying some rubble, but tried first without and they stayed put. I did try a small glass first (shaped kind of like what’s in your pic) and they didn’t...

Anemone + Nem Cup Yay or Nay?

I’ve had reasonable luck so far using small terra cotta pots. For me, the key is knowing that if one does decide to wander, I’m prepared to get it out asap and try to get it happy in the pot again so they won’t take over my tank (again).

    DBTC: Purple finger coral

Ohhh, would love to try this one!

    LF Leng Sy Monti

I picked up a piece at the most recent frag swap that was labeled as a Leng Sy - was actually my first pick, because I've been hoping to find it too. Hasn't colored up yep, but it sure would be nice to see a pic of the mother colony (hint to the person who brought it;))

    DBTC: Calfo Pulsing Sinularia

I personally have had very poor luck gluing softies to a support. With this one, I’ve been able to get it to stick by wedging it in a crack in a piece of rock in a low flow area of the tank, or with some creativity, glued rubble on a tile. Happy to get you a piece either way, mounted will just...

    DBTC: Calfo Pulsing Sinularia

@wcfish21 - I need to prune mine back a bit. Want me to try getting to grow on a plug for you, or is a fresh cut ok?

    Cowries in cuc?

I have a gold ring one, like the one in your pic, that I've had for at least 5 years with no issues. Not sure how much algae it eats, but I do like seeing it and I don't think it's ever eaten something I don't want it to.

Lets see them full tank shot

Maybe? Years ago, I got in the habit of putting on mild SPF right after showering in the morning. My copper banded butterfly (who came with the new tank) eats out of my fingers, and I was feeding right after getting out of the shower - with those same hands that I had the sunscreen on. Looked...

Lets see them full tank shot

Terrible shot of my 125. I really need to make a journal update, but I went through a phase where I lost most of my sps (except my 3 milli’s !?!) and some chalices. ICP analysis showed high zinc, so several water changes later things are looking back in track. Looking forward to picking up some...

Check out this build I am working on...

So funny, I've seen this in Brussels - I'm pretty sure it's listed as one of the worst tourist attractions in world. Would make a great pet drinking fountain though! But it is right around the corner from some amazing chocolate shops.

    Shipping coral?

When I used to breed and regularly ship reptiles, I would only use FedEx and, very importantly, specify "hold at location", so the receiver has to go pick it up at their local FedEx spot. Eliminates the most unreliable part of the trip, and potentially saves several hours of bouncing around in...

    What is this?

@NanoCrazed, they do look like the pics you posted ( no pink tips on mine though), and a quick online search of gracilis nems, pulls up very similar pics - to my eye they look like a highly green version of those. Their sting looks to be very mild, they were brushing against a couple of zoas...

    What is this?

Hey Mario, this is why I'm confused. Majano's are one of the few pests I know of that I haven't had to deal with. So when I saw these, all I thought was "those are cool", almost like when I fist saw those miserable little blue clove polyps that take over everything. They do look kind of like...

Melanurus wrasse swimming up and down next to glass?

Do you have a decent sand bed and lots of good hide spots? My leopard and melanurus both do this occasionally in my 125 and I’ve them for a while now.

    What is this?

Thanks, appreciate the response. They’re now in a jar with old tank water by a window and they don‘t look unhappy.
