Copper doesn’t look crazy high. I would just do a big water change and check to make sure nothing metal is corroding in your water.

July update Moved the light up a few inches and angled it away from front glass (thx for the tip @Darkxerox ). Trying to be strict about weekly 50% water changes. Added Playboy Zoa from DBTC (@rxx2rxx2) and Bam Bams from the swap. Weird gunk is starting to die out. Tank is looking better...

If you can maintain a reef tank, you can maintain a planted tank. Once you dial in CO2, nutrients, and light, the only real maintenance is weekly water changes and trimming. Water changes are easy (I find much better results with re-mineralized RO water). You can achieve a full grown in look...

I've seen conflicting info about whether or not goniopora of different type play nicely with each other. My green one has been retracted for the past week or so, I'm wondering if it's being bothered by the pink one. Should I move it?

Love the stained deck. Tank is at eye level, but you can still use the steps for maintenance. Can't wait to see it in person.

Is it possible to have your friend drain the tank to below where it's leaking from? Heater (and sensor?) is already in the display. Ideally, also move the ATO into the display, but if you're gonna be home on Sunday evaporation may not be too bad.
