Potentially lowering the skimmer pump speed and water level while increasing the tank turnover provides a more consistent skimming experience. It did somehow look like the skimming had improved visually, but the end results have not, unfortunately.

Electrical advice - lighting fixtures - needs professional help (potentially)

It seems to be only the dimming feature; they do not seem to have any issue if not dimmed.

Week 1 status update after some changes: 1. Adjusting skimmer settings did not change anything - nitrates and phosphates remained almost the same as last week, i.e., 26 vs 0.33 mg/L respectively. 2. Increasing the tank turnover rate significantly had no impact on nutrients. HOWEVER, it did...

So this is the biggest mystery of all. Today was the same issue as stated above again—I have not been able to use the new connectors. The rear light bar turns off every 45 seconds for 1 second. This was in the morning, and it stopped in the afternoon without me making ANY change. I work from...

    No water charges?

So no daily auto water changes, correct?

Soldering did not fix the issue, unfortunately :(. It is so annoying that it turns on and off almost exactly every 43 seconds for 1 sec or 2. And only the rear light bar, not the other three lights which are connected the same way. Will try the connectors @MarcosD recommended next.

I would not do blackouts or use hydrogen peroxide. Both address only symptoms and not the root cause. Key is to know which type of Dino you actually have - microscope.

    No water charges?

Wow. 30% on a 300-gallon weekly or bi-weekly? My question was more around the amount of water changed per instance. Is 40% monthly, 10% weekly, 1.5% daily all the same in your opinion? Based on your ‘elevator statement’, I do not think so. Unless this statement had a positive sentiment, in...

    No water charges?

So how impactful are small daily (auto) water changes in your opinion?

That's what I am talking about :). Seriously, though, I think the solution is the opposite: a less fancy skimmer could be the solution. I am waiting for a part to run the DELTEC 1000 with ozone. Once this arrives, I will swap the skimmers and see if I can dial this one in better. The main...

Good thoughts. The two ATLAS do the heavy lifting. The bars are mostly just for blueish optics. PAR measures around 500 on top, 300 on the bottom. I actually believe the tank might get in some cases too much light tbh.

Vodka/carbon dosing should keep both nitrates and phosphates down. 15 ml does not seem to be an insignificant amount but I have not looked up how this equates to Elimi NP. Daily: 1 sheet of nori 12 total minutes of Plank #1 (freeze dried mysis) 1 total minute of Plank #2 (Several types of...

Great picture. That makes me believe not all hope is lost - difference between the 200 and 220 should not matter given your larger tank size. Thank you for sharing your settings, this is helpful comparison. Just to continue to level set: What are your average nutrients levels at the moment -...

Very pretty but some of them look very small, and I assume they were not cheap.

Hopefully not a tank blackout to fight off dinos (except maybe if you have cyanos).

I have to have a full cup of skim ‘mate’/liquid at least once a week to be satisfied haha :). I would be curious now what your sump water level is, so that you can set the skimmer water height to 4-5?? I agree mine is low but if I go into the 2 or higher range, I doubt that anything would land...
