Check out this build I am working on...

@robert4025,Thanks for sharing these high end builds with us. What thickness did you go with for that laminated glass? Laminated glass is great for added protection from complete failure but it is only as strong as one piece. So if you have two 3/8” pieces with a 1/16” interlayer it will only...

    Tropic Marin arrived at Neptunes

I wonder how much a pallet costs? It’s not like I’m ever not going to need salt and it doesn’t go bad.

Captive bred fish and disease with Felicia McCaulley-Oct-2nd 10am PST

I missed it. Did she talk about UV sterilizers at all?

    Vincent's Office tank

I’ve been looking at DWV and sweep elbow fittings so that the direction of flow isn’t as sharp.

    Vincent's Office tank

When you sent me the pick of the office tank, I thought it was the general population tank not yours. Your guy that made your sump, do you think he will do a custom overflow for me?

    I really like anthias.

Help - Wellso is showing skeleton/dying

Where ever you put the gfo, it should tumble. If you just put some in a mesh bag it will fuse together in a big clump. Some do a 50/50 mix with carbon for this reason.

    Is this the end?

Yeah, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Method #3127 for trying to kill a tank.

I’m not saying it’s not over priced, but it is mostly titanium. The pvc is just where it attaches to the pump.

    Tropic Marin Salt on order!

It’s $.11 cheaper on BRS. I’m going there instead. Just kidding. They never seem to have it in stock anyway. @robert4025, I really miss having a quality reef store near by. Nothing I’ve seen here in Colorado comes close to Neptune Aquatics.

Method #3127 for trying to kill a tank.

That reminds me, I’ve been meaning to get one of these. http://royalexclusiv.com/Accessories/Slot-pipes-split-tubes-protection-for-delivery-pumps/slot-pipe-split-tube-HYBRID-Titan-PVC-O-40mm::878.html

    Trident with CaRx

I’ve been focusing on the basement still, but it’s allowed me more time to fine tune my design and plans for the tank. As it stands, I have the extra steel support beams installed, two 20 amp dedicated circuits, a drain added at the tank’s location, and a 3” “conduit” running between the tank’s...

    AC now has an Aquaspin!

Are the batch numbers for the reagents consecutive?

    DI resin longevity

That sounds reasonable to me. I typically let my tds go up to about 5 before I’d change mine. Do you make large batches at a time? I would let my RO run a couple mins before sending it through the DI. It helped a lot. I would get tds in the hundreds the first couple seconds.

    Trident with CaRx

Is anyone using a Trident with a CaRx? Do you use it only to monitor or do you control the reactor with it in some manner?

    A new DBTC system

This looks so much more organized. One thing to be thinking about would be how to manage geography. It looks like there are 3 meters and when your turn pops up it’s just the luck of the draw as to where it will need to be picked up or dropped off at. Maybe there could be an option to let the...

    Red Sea Reefer Peninsula 650

I love those rocks you made. Those water storage containers are pretty sleek too. They definitely look nicer than my two 55 gallon barrels. You’ll definitely be the coolest dentist on the block with your reef tank. ;)
