I wish live brine shrimp was easier to source for some of these fish that are hard to acclimate to frozen or other foods. I remember almost every LRS had it in stock for years. Does anyone know where AC gets theirs from?
Welcome! Like I have said before given how expensive this hobby can be the price of membership will be the most cost effective and best thing you will ever purchase for this hobby.
My tank has been doing really well over the last 6 months (need to post a journal update). Had a cyano issue for a few months that took out some SPS. All of the nuisance algae are pretty much gone and now it is just the light stuff that grows on the glass or sand. The lawmower blenny is always...
I don't know about tasty...not all squid are worth it.
Years ago, for some reason the Humbolt Squid decided to relocate up along the coast of California. Charter boats up and down the coast were targeting them and there was a concern they could wipe out a lot of native fish including salmon...
Keep in mind what’s to stop domestic producers from increasing their prices? For example if imported products go up 10% what’s to stop domestics products going up 5%? Still cheaper. I suspect this will happen with a lot of goods.
Post this over on humblefish with details and see what they say.
How long has this been going on?
Any other fish affected?
Any other symptoms?
Diet?
Still eating?
Weight loss?
Any scratching/darting?
Any new additions to the tank?
Has it progressed to other parts of the body?
Any open sores?

Well,
Stopped by Cali Kids today for some water. Cos got a shipment of fish in this week. Lots of cool fish. I had to exercise patience and restraint. I currently have 5 fish in my QT/isolation tank. It is not yet time to move them into the main display. Until then no more fish, but man...it was...
The only good news is that if it is ich or velvet and you go fallow for the appropriate amount of time you can actually get rid of this. I agree, humblefish is the best source for info.
Haha, ok. I will let you know if they have them. Any ideas how much they cost? Don't want to buy it if it is out of the budget. Last year my son got a Jabba the Hut popcorn bucket, I think it was something like $40 maybe??
Shhhhhhh. Not so loud. My wife wants a full-size puffer. Don't have the room for another large tank. So far she has been happy with the spotted sharp nose puffer in the reef tank.
Eels, clown triggers, and blue cheek butterfly fish makes me wish I had a fish only tank again. Snowflake and dragon eels were my favorites. Hope he finds a good home!

Yes, very appropriately named. I have seem a pair of large clowns hold their own when defending their corner/territory, but that is about it. Very aptly named fish. Good luck!
