    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

I'd prefer to have a 60" fixture, but T5 hybrid fixtures are pretty hard to find. And you know what they say ....rung what ya brung. It actually seems pretty OK, the chunk of tank on the left that isn't under the T5s is where most of the LPS and less demanding SPS is anyway.

Any bubble tip nem gurus around???

They look great, what problem are you having?

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

Really loving these T5s. I'm seeing PE on my Rich's Beefy Blue Stag - have NEVER seen PE on this coral before. Things seem pretty happy in general and I'm actually digging the whiter, bathed-in-light look during peak hours. Tank is now 2.5 years old:

Any bubble tip nem gurus around???

I think BTAs will grow in the back of a toilet if you leave the lid off. Anemones are just so random in my experience - don't stare too long into the void.

    Yellow coral recommendations

Walt Disney of course, and I second the vote for Goldenrod Anacropora - a very striking yellow under the right conditions. Beach bum monti is also very yellow although I wouldn't recommend any encrusting corals :)

    Oceanic 40gallon Sps tank.

That looks a lot more like a garf bonsai than a tri-color something, to me. Anyway this is the best I've seen your SPS looking probably ever, whatever you got going in this tank is working! Looking great. I see a ton of very defined shadows - maybe an opportunity for more light spread as these...

Updated the first post w/ confirmed committee members - 8 so far w/ Thomas as tiebreaker. This should be enough, but I'll leave committee entries open for another couple days just in case. Reminder that submissions are OPEN even before we finalize the...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

My Triton results also tend to read high PO4, although I know that these values change in transit so I haven't really put much stock in nutrient results from ICP, and just trust the Hannah. That's interesting though. I sent an ATI+Triton test off at the same time once also, and recall similar...

    ICP results, thoughts?

Of course, I just choose not to worship at any one specific church that's in the business of selling me things ;)

    ICP results, thoughts?

I’ve got an FM ICP sitting around you can have. I think I won it in the photo contest. You gotta send me a prepaid label to ship it to you, though! Triton - takes 4 days usually. I’ve got no reason not to trust the results, at least as far as any ICP can really be “trusted.” They are consistent...

    ICP results, thoughts?

Yes my response was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Why test for PH at all, especially for a sample that spends so much time in transit? Better question, why even use a testing service that takes 2 weeks to get results in the first place (and doesn't supply a shipping label)? :)

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

AquaticLife 48" T5 Hybrid fixture w/ ATI bulbs - 2x coral plus and 2x blue plus. This is just the bulbs that were in there, but seems to be a traditional combo?

BAR has a extra large GIGI or something nem

Yeah I just edited my post after looking at the pic some more. Agree it could be a mag

BAR has a extra large GIGI or something nem

Looks like either a gigantea or magnifica, though not an obvious example of either - hard to tell from just one pic. Any more? Looks huge though!

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

All good - I have stopped adding A+K to my 2 part mix. It's expensive stuff and I was adding a LOT (like 1,000ml into 5,000ml - my 2part was basically 20+% trace elements), but without actually getting any elements to show up on ICP. I started with a very small CG dose (6ml a day into my 300g...
