    Michael's 300 In Vegas

I am just about to start more acros. The tank just hit the year plus mark, so I am going to wait for fall for the weather to get more mild, and start doing some shipments of coral from the bay.

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

I was thinking about cheatogro as I run heavy macroalgae these days. Hearing it works well for you, I might need to mix it into my dosing regiment.

    210 gallon Dream tank

I had the same leak issue with my 168. Silicone fixed it. Made it a little tougher to take apart, but not terrible. Note that the overflow was not reused because it was a pos. See Will's thread and my thread builds for more info there...

    Stickers?

Kids these days, not knowing their movie history. I watched this one in college as part of my education.

Fish are like boats, name them to keep them on the surface.

Support needed - Mounting Lights into Drywall

Drywall around a tank doesn't stay dry. I wouldn't trust it long term.

Support needed - Mounting Lights into Drywall

I would do it like this instead. Let me know if you have any questions. Spray paint a 2x4 black, mount that to the studs, then mound the light brackets wherever you want.

Cool, so feed more than I am and that should get some iodine in there. Thanks!

    Michael's 300 In Vegas

https://www.triton-lab.de/en/showroom/icp-oes/103837 Got my ICP results back. Looks like I am low on iodine. My guess is from growing red macro algae, but I am not completely sure. I will look into my iodine solutions and see if they are okay to dose the tank. I have a couple for dipping...

    9 footer disaster

Any merit to vacuum sealing the silicone into the seal area? We did this to impregnate epoxy resin into fiberglass to make the hull for our human powered submarine team. Use a seran wrap like material, putty tape, and a vacuum to pull the air out through a small tube like an ro tube. This...

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

Sounds like you need to do what I did and get another 125 gallon tank going. CBB's are known to pick at clam mantles from what I've read.

    Brightwell Aquatics Phosphate E

Filter socks are a pain because they clog fast. I use LaCl all the time now. I run a dosing line into the skimmer neck and drip 2-4 mL/day in my big tank. And in my 120, I just dosed 10mL into the skimmer neck to see how much I would drop. I got a lot of we skim out, and phosphates dropped...

    Free various plumbing parts

Expired here doesn't mean bad, most likely it is just the end of their test date. I would bet it is still good to use, there is nothing to decompose/degrade in most of the mineral suppliments.
