Crappy photo, but excited because today I’m seeing the pink-orange corallites come back which had originally faded out. Hoping upward growth will be next.

What drill bit did you use?

NeoNitro, which has been working for me. But, after doing more research I don’t think it’s the best method. There seems to be questions around its concentration and consistency. I might keep using it because it’s easy, but Sodium Nitrate is probably the best route.

I am in the same boat with plenty of torches and a .1 phosphate reading but I have to dose nitrates.

Did you already purchase?

Might also be cool to have the white clownfish logo only on the front, and the back with Bay Area Reefers and the logo in white.

They are King Midas and Orange Oxide (bam bams have a solid red in the middle without the ring). You also have what looks like Blue Hornets in there. It sounds like what makes the most sense for you is to have someone come over with a large container who has time to frag them up and hand out...

Are you looking for a name? If so, I doubt there’s much more to it than a Toxic Green Hammer. IMO these corals are underrated for how incredibly bright they can get, but green is green, and doesn’t get massive love in our hobby (when not accompanied by yellow).

Historically they have not had much worth seeing. However, they had a pretty respectable selection there today. Nice torches, a couple really nice heliofungias, some scolys, acanthos, etc.

Unbelievably, Violet actually has some really nice ones right now. Disclaimer that I didn’t see what the flesh band was like. They are selling what looked to be a 2 head or splitting head for $450.

Came back across this and got curious if you figured anything out? First thought went to like a rough sponge or Brillo pad across the top while they were soft.

If anyone wants to go in on these lmk. I may order some. If we split, looks like it will be ~$32 for a 10 pack of the frag seats and 5 expansion disk plates, shipped. ($13.50 for 10 extra seats)
