Quick question if you don't mind - what water do you use in a basic FW tank? I see varying info online. Sounds like DI strips out minerals. Is RO all right? What about water just after sediment and 2 carbon stages to remove chloramine?

If you raise the light fixture with the shade on, will it shine in your eyes when seated in the room? How is it with no shade (shining in eyes)?

Could you please list some aquatic plants suitable for use with these shrimp?

Umm, I think I have quite a few PC lamps in my classroom storage! Yep. When starting up there I couldn’t afford expensive LED and didn’t trust cheapo ones or MH. I wonder if they are straight pin or square pin? (Waiting for @Kensington Reefer’s “old school” comment…)
