My first Fish copper Qt treatment

All fish seem ok with copper power. Verse other types. The recommendations are to start at 1. Than raise over a few days to 2.0-2.5 for the coral beauty, flame angel clown tang and the puffer. I'm currently at near 2.5 so thinking maybe draining half the water and adding more fresh saltwater...

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

Hopefully the final pre fish treatment Update. Based on input, yet mostly my own desire for a screen cover. The extra peices I had laying around were big enough but I didn't have a way to secure it to the tank to my liking without putting boards etc on them. So I order 2 more screen kits...

    127g Acrylic build

Hopefully the fish pull through. Don't be offended but that 6th Ave store. I heard stories about it and thought they were exaggerated. I happen to be in the city last year for a conference and decided why not I will check them out. I've frankly never seen anything more disgusting, disturbing...

Beyond that tank I have like 10 other fish. Any thoughts on a aquabiomics test? Just recalling something I heard about if it's the right test I'm thinking about. Would that show ich etc in a system and is it reliable based on your experience/ opinion? I also remember someone else was...

I agree hence my hesitant. I'm even more worried yesterday my puffer didn't eat. All the other fish are still eating So I don't really wanna wait longer. I'm secretly hoping he's ok when I get home today. I'll look at adding copper to the two tanks tonight.

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

I can't qt every fish lot of in compatibility with 3 pairs of maroons and different wrasses. I would need to set up 2 more tanks ugh. Yet I've been keeping a crazy eye on the other tanks. No signs of ick yet. I'll figure out what to do if signs are noticed. The temperatures in the other...

    Richie's Reefer 500

It may look goofy but if you wrap power heads in filter floss and zip tie the floss in place, it would act as a polishing filter. And get all the tiny particles from water column. Change pads after about 12 hrs they should look blackish. Do it again for another 12 hours and water won't have...

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

Last time I did it I went 76 days, i will also raise temperature. Yet I probably need to add a second heater. I don't wanna turn my current heater higher than 78 on its digital controller. I hover around 75 in that tank currently. I don't wanna speed up the ich cycle with fish still in the...

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

I won't restart the display. I will go the fallow route. I have lots of coral and clean up crew if they haven't all been taken out by the wrasses yet. I don't wanna set up another tank to put coral into. Nor would I consider putting them into a existing tank. I'm not fully certain what route...

    Zoa-eating snail - Sundial (Heliacus)

A while back I read that some types of those tiny snails eat larger snails and clams. They look pretty similar so you would wanna be sure your getting the right ones.

So after hearing all the feed back on the koi pond and looking at how low it is to the ground. Don’t ask me why meh but I made a complete turn and started another project that likely went a little further than necessary. I broke out saws, drills, and other tools. It took me a few hours yet I...

27 gallon tote addition. yay or nay

My 210 had a set up like that when I first got. It. A 40 gallon sump tied into a 30 gallons with bulkheads drilled through both tanks and a few extra pumps. (No idea how to hook it up. There maybe older utube videos from years ago that could give you ideas.) I think it was a real old school way...

    Dealing with lyngbya

Is it possible for you to get a close up picture of the stuff ? I added 2 urchins so far they haven't touched the stuff. Fish ignore it. It's also been 2 full weeks and no effect at all using reef flux. No thining or change in color as previous times I've used it.

My first Fish copper Qt treatment

I ordered this stuff. Dr tims was way to expensive online. and I tossed sponges into two tanks. I could only fit like half of a sponge in the sps tank sump. Not ideal but maybe it will absorb through the rest of it. These sponges are pretty big.
