Hard to tell. Black bugs are noticeable at night and generally eat your sps from the base up, They glide about. Do you have a picture of the sps before dipping? You don't need a microscope to see black bugs; they're visible to the naked eye.

I'm looking to move my frag tank and QT into the garage but it gets quite hot during the day. For those that have garage tanks, how do you keep the temps low? My garage does not have any insulation at the moment but I'm not sure it makes sense to insulate the entire garage just for a frag tank...
