My water looks like Mountain Dew!!

I think the Vortex blows the Magnum out of the water. The Vortex bag is reusable many times (unless you use it for gravel vac'ing...ahem...) and the amount of powder the Vortex uses is far greater for its larger bag. Also, I personally don't like the idea of the electrical motor sitting under...

I thought you said a regular supply of the PNG stuff was coming in through Quality? I just wondered if maroon misbars were fetching higher prices out of PNG now.

My water looks like Mountain Dew!!

Yeah, needs immediate cleaning after use, and there's a learning curve around priming the filter and flocking the membrane. And it's ugly, and the motor's exposed and it's not that cheap... Maybe I'm not so surprised after all...

My water looks like Mountain Dew!!

Seems like a no-brainer. I'd even use the super-char if I was displaying at a show just to have super blue water!

A soon to be "hello" from afar (asking for tank relocation advice :D)

I can prob help. The best thing (IMO, though I haven't asked Karson yet, LOL) is to get the stuff to Aquatic Collection and I'll volunteer to bag and box it up. I have a little experience packing coral and wouldn't spit in ALL the bags (100% DOA looks too obvious!) -Jim

My water looks like Mountain Dew!!

There is a single tool in the aquarium hobby that will filter those out of your tank in a couple of hours or at worst, overnight. It's called a Vortex diatom filter and I am always surprised that SW hobbyists never caught on to this great piece of equipment. It is a contemporary with Supreme...

    Lessening Bio-Load?

Sandbeds that have stored a bunch of nutrients will slow down the process of getting a tank cleaned up. IDK if you have sand... Same same for live rock.
