Liked both. This purple/green hammer has been one of my favorites since I started I am this hobby. This particular one was a colony a friend had in San Diego that was about the size of a basketball!! I always wanted to buy it from him but never had enough room in my tank for it. :(
I would contact Chris (screen name: lotsafishies) on sandiegoreefs. He runs a maintenance/sales company in San Diego and has been known to buy setups from stores before so he could be possibly interested. He's a good guy to deal with. I've dealt with him several times when I was living in SD...
Definitely going to be following along on this one. Great job on drilling the tank. Pics looked like the holes came out really clean.
Also interested in Jebao DC pump. Was thinking about that same pump for my build.

Go for it!I'm hoping to do mine either this weekend or next week just having a small issue right now.
Well I've been looking around and am having a hell of a time finding a diamond blade for my saw. I found tons of 4" blades but none have the right size arbor hole. For some reason they used a...
This is pretty much exactly what I'm looking to do! Thanks for looking those up for me, I really appreciate it. I'm still considering the 2 acrylic box option as well just not sure which way I will end up going.
I'm planning on using a 4" Rockwell saw with a diamond blade. I'll then use...
Man I love the look of your system. I tend to be as interested if not a little more of the planning/building as I am the final product! The planning you have is awesome and I love the red plumbing.

I'd be interested to see a pic of this if you have some. This sounds a lot like what I want to do. As for the screen, I was thinking either to use the gutter screen or maybe figuring a way to use the clear screen from brs.

That's the way I was leaning also but have heard a lot lately about having no teeth also so wanted to get some opinions on both options.
I'm planning on using glass because the tank is glass and have read that it's not a good idea to mix the two since silicone doesn't adhere well to acrylic...
Hey everybody,
So I am just starting the planning of an approx. 34 gallon tank that I picked up from a guy about a year or so ago. Ive since relocated and am ready to begin this new system. It is a rimless tank with dimensions as follows: 24" wide x 18" deep x 18" tall x 1/4" thick. In...
I do have one more request of anybody willing. If anybody whether donating or not would be willing to share this on any format of social media and help get his message to as many people as possible it would be greatly appreciated.
This can be done as simply as just clicking on the Facebook...
Hi,
I'm writing this in an effort to help my 6 year old son raise money for the Oakland children's hospital. I have been a member here for several years but last winter moved to the Bay Area so am not as active as I once was on here. Now with that being said, I still very regularly scan through...
So I have been a member for a while but am not very active right now due to not having a system currently setup.
My question is this:
My son (6 years old) has started a fundraising campaign (we'll call it) using gofundme to raise money for the Oakland Children's Hospital. He has asked my wife...
Well I'm now posed with a dilemma. I currently have a brand new wp25 still sitting I am the box waiting for my new build. Now it looks like I might sell that and pick up one of the rw-8 and give that a try.
If anybody wants a brand new wp25 pm me!

When it comes to wood, imo nothing beats out redwood but the expense can be kind of high. The other and I'm sure cheaper option would be to use just regular treated lumber. Either way would work fine for you.
