I do my doses 7 days apart - I do 3 doses. Make sure when dosing prazi you have good O2, iit can reduce oxygen in the water. I keep an air stone going the whole time.

to clarify, Prazi (no common treatment) kills any eggs. You are treating first time to kill adults/juveniles. 2nd treatment is to kills any new hatchlings. I generally do a third to be thorough.

you can jumpstart a tank by adding mature media from one to another. its what i generally do each time i setup a new tank and QT tank. I keep extra media in my sump at all times for just such occasions. don't expect to skip the ugly phase, but i generally haven't had to deal with any bad algae...
