Also this does not help the potential issue of the chloramines shortening the like of the ro membrane. Which is the reason for why this topic got brought up.
I understand that but in real world experience how long is everyone's membrane lasting? I know I just changed mine after 3.5 years for the first time. Granted I have very soft water.
The better option is just to put 2 membranes on one system in parallel or in series. In parallel it will double the waste water. In series will reduce the waste water. Waste water from the first goes into the second membrane.
