Slow progress, but heres an update.... water testing the tank today. The cabinet builder is starting tomorrow

Looks like 1/2" on the sides and 1" on the top and bottom, it's a beast to move, takes 4-5 guys to move it.

After two years of storage, it finally made it to the house, and not a scratch on it, and water tight!

These will be an awesome house and tank. Not sure which one I would rank the best (house or tank). I am more leaning towards the home with all the major remodeling. Hopefully you got it at a excellent deal since the remodeling cost are upfront cost.

Thanks, we already live here! been living in 850sf upstairs for 2yrs. Through the dust, dirt and jackhammering. Glad to have the downstairs getting close to move in. I'm hoping the downstairs is ready mid october, just need time to finish it myself

I'm putting together a list of reef parts and wanted to get opinions on the equipment. I'm also having a guy from our LFS the Coral Corral come over and help design the plumbing.

Here's the list of items I'm planing on getting, please let me know what you think.

I'd consider spending the money for the sea swirls on an mp40 (or 60!) instead.

They are nice, but I can't have any wires on the outside of the tank. If I use the the seaswirl you only see the directional jets and no wires

What kind of metal did you use for your stand and where did you source it from?

I'm thinking of doing the same and then skinning it.

The metal is steel thats been painted. The tank builder welded the stand together up in Canada

Had a guy come out from the local coral shop, he's putting together a diagram..list etc with a few options. But right now my goal is maximum flow with minimal maintenance.

So looking to get:

Skimmer rated for 300 Gallons (Euroreef)

I do like the old school euroreefs, but the octopus slimmer you were looking at is badass as well!

The saltwater bank tank is hooked up and almost ready.

Found a local supplier, here's what he's go instock.. including the 3,000 Gallon tank for $1,800!

Here's my tanks location and install. I hooked up a 1,650GPH pump up. Gonna plug it into a remote controlled switch.. so I can turn it on under the tank, instead of going outside, call me lazy The tank guy installed a larger top and 1/2 connections for the faucet and hard pipe connection while I waited Whole tank cost $180!
