Kessil

210 gallon Dream tank

If the rock didn't smell bad when added I agree it probably was a contaminent or something else. If you looking for basic fish as replacements lmk maybe I can get for you from my orders.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fish! I had something really similar happen to me, all the fish just suddenly died on me with all inverts and corals being fine. Never did figure out what happened for sure, but I suspect a bloom of bad bacteria? I added some filter media from an established tank and a bunch of pods, which helped, and I haven't had any fish loss since. Just mentioning in case it helps.

Anyway, I really hope things improve from here!

Flooring project offically started today. In general it's not hard, but on a level of headache it's +9.5. Trying to keep this stuff from breaking loose once one row is done and you try to tap the following row in place. In other words a heck of a lot of starting over. This will take a while due to being cluess on what I'm doing beyond a few videos. In hind sight I probably should have sucked it up and paid some of the home depot guys.
On the plus side, that's extra money I will have myself if it works out in the end.

My biggest concern is will my amatuer diy job with stand time, and being walked on for years. Probably less than 20% done currently. I will also have the unexpected expense of having to get some quarter round moldings to go over the base boards to cover the gap left from the previous Flooring that was ripped up. (Last flooring was twice as thick. Is reason for the gap. )

Didn't you ask me to borrow a table saw a while ago for this?

Impressive. The cat seems to like the new flooring.

So I would estimate I'm close to the 40% mark.

Started at roughly 4pm. Actually laying the floor. Started moving crap off the floor around 1pm.

Now 11pm I Had to stop not to have neighbors cursing me out from all the banging.

Not all of them are laying perfectly flat. I'm starting to suspect it will look ok in the end, but won't be anywhere close to a job that will endure many years. So will have to live with the imperfection. It’s a much better floor than was previous installed. So still a improvement even with a rookie job.

Hopefully I can finish the floor it's self tomorrow.

Looking good!

Normally you just pop off the baseboard then nail back once the flooring is done? Just make sure to leave an expansion gap 1/4 to 3/8 between the flooring and sheetrock or wall to prevent buckling since flooring can expand and contract..Some loose lay 100% vinyl products don't need gaps..Can always cuta small gap afterwards.. Nice choice of color looks great especially when your white stands will be in place

I plan to leave the gap on the back wall. Front wall in picture needed to be flush due to the kitchen tile Transition peice. That covers probably half the length of the wall. Also the far wall in the picture has that gap as well.

Great choice of color. It will go really well with your white stands.

Maybe your subfloor isn't perfectly level? I had vinyl at my old place, and there were some pockets with a little bit of squish. It didn't bother me very much.

It's a possibility. It's a apartment I don't own so there is only so much I would spend. The added cost of adding a top layer over the sub floor is a no go.

So got everything done down to the last row. I had to stop there because I had a meeting this evening.

Last row will take lots of cuts not hard but time consuming. Than later this week I will get some quarter round moldingsnto cover the gaps mentioned on the recent updates.

So flooring is nearly checked off as complete.

There are about 4 spots where one seems to be coming up not about to take it all up again to reach those areas near the start. (There is a high risk breaking the plank joints taking them apart)So will research special screws nails or something to hold those few spots down if it comes to it. Meaning some that are suitable to being walked on and won't come up over time.

There is another major update concerning a second identical 210gallon tank and stand aquired from a recent break down, that I plan to swap my current one for do to it being in slightly better condition. Means starting from square one painting another stand. Current one will be passed along to someone else.

Overall looking good minus those 4 areas mentioned above.
