3g kitchen Pico

Well I got bored and wanted something simple yet small. I wanted a tiny reef in the kitchen and remembered I had this 3g pico laying around.

TANK START DATE: 9/14/25

EQUIPMENT
•3G rimless petco tank w/ glass lid
•Nicrew HOB filter
•Hygger 10W heater

My budget build started with the same tank, heater, and filter! Looking forward to see how yours turns out!

Just FYI mine started leaking after a few months, I suspect because of the gravity fed ATO putting pressure on the seams. I’d recommend not doing that lol.

I was just about to order that and the wave pump lol im down for the experiment if it does leak well we know now for sure it has to be that!

Well slowly putting the pico together, I added some crushed coral on Tuesday and an ato along with filter floss to help clear up the water. I thought that might be a better option than having to buy the nicrew filters itself.

Next up on the list would be adding a light, considering how small the tank is not much space on the back wall to hang one so ill be modifying a fluval sea nano light that I have laying around and possibly hanging it under the cabinet.
