40 gal tank

Hi all,

As promised, I cleaned up the tank a bit over the weekend. Took some lousy pics. The rocks are not enough for the tank. I ordered some 20 lbs live rock which are due to arrive in early January..

So, for now, I am just looking at...rock. It doesnt matter. I have a lot of things to keep me busy during the holiday break.

what is this algae thing on the last 2 pics?

I was in touch with some fellow members through PM and they gave me lots of invaluable advice.

I am trying to look for an upgrade to my lights. I am leaning more towards 2x hydra 16 or one hydra 32. The tank is 22" deep (22" all around).

Whatever lights you go with if they are puck style then getting say 2x hydra 16s is far superior to 1x hydra 32 due to the ability to spread them out and even the coverage.
