Im planning to install Acrylic euro brace for a used glass tank. Anyone done this before can recommend type of adhesive to use. all recommend are welcome. Thx
I would make it from glass, there really isn't a good adhesive that bonds acrylic to glass with any amount of useful strength, unless you're adding a eurobrace for aesthetics then silicone would do the job.
By the way, where can I find a few pieces of 1/2" glass for reasonable price? I got quote for 2 pieces of 48"x3" and 24"x3" all 1/2" thick, $150 for normal and $190 for starphire, is the price ok?
I saw some aquarium manufacturing do hybrid tank with combine of glass front, acrylic side/back and PVC on bottom of each side of the tank. I seen some glass tank with acrylic euro brace but I don't know which adhesive they use to glue them together.
I have a 300 gallon tank with plastic bottom glass sides plastic overflow and a plastic one piece euro brace on top. No problems. I do not no the manufacture but for the size there must be products out there to hold them together. I will say it takes 6 people to carry it .
