Aiptasia?

I am 10 days into my new tank setup.. and I see one of these which looks like Aiptasia head to me (please ID and let me know if its something else).. I want to stop before it becomes a problem and overtake my tank.. I read about folks feeding it lemon juice to melt it.. anybody got a small nudibranch that they are willing to give to help stop this? I can pay in booze or money, or just pay it forward when I am in a state to do so maybe an year later :)

Any other suggestions are welcome

Since your tank is only 10 days old, I'd recommend taking out the rock and pour boiling hot water over the aiptasia. Then scrub the shit outta the entire rock and rinse off with RODI before putting back in your tank.

You can take it a step further and soak it over night in 50/50 bleach and water solution. Then rinse off with RODI and put back into your tank.

I hope the aptasia didn’t come back. I had one pop up and battled it on and ofd for over a year. I initially spot treated with Aptasia X then ended up pulling out the rock and pouring boiling water and peroxide. Unfortunately, t kept coming back and eventually poppies up on a second rock then a third and then spread to the entire rockscape. I tried Berghia Nudis but I believe they got eating by Hawkfish and/or wrasse. I am now using a Copperband which also erradicated the relatively harmless spaghetti work population within a week.
