Looks like Peninsula Tropicals is closing its doors after god knows how many years
For those of you that weren't around, or never got a chance to visit, there is history in that store..
The current ownership left a little to be desired, for example there was a sign when you walk in that said "advice for regular customers only", not a real good attitude.
Back in the day though it was completely different, PT was a shop that QT'd all marine fish. Kyle the manager was extremely knowledgeable, and maintained a 180 reef that in its day was one of the nicer reefs around. The service, selection of fish and corals, and overall management/ethics has yet to be met in the Bay Area. It was a sad day when the place was sold, and now the final nail has been driven into the coffin.
If you want cheap stuff, bring cash and Steve will unload stuff for cheap. There are plenty of 125g tanks with overflows and eurobracing for $60, you can't beat that!
