Is it as good as the frozen one?? Where can I find these local?

I got a can from Robin at the last swap. I can bring you some.

I have the freeze-dried. They carry it at Ultimate in San Mateo. I haven't used the frozen, but all the critters seem to enjoy this stuff. The problem I have with it is that if you just throw it in, it all floats to the top and stays there (which means I have to turn off my pump or it all ends up floating to the top of my sump). I have better luck if I let it soak in some water for a while and then toss it in.

Yup, I use it. IIRC, it's better than frozen too, but I can't remember why. I toss a pinch or two in a 50mL beaker that I fill with tank water. Let it soak for a little while and then turkey baster/dump into the tank. The longer the soak, the better, but if you use a turkey baster it'll all start down in the water column.

yup. soak it. Then I dump it right at the vortec. Works pretty well, though I think it mainly just feeds aptasia and my wrasse :p

thanks iani and one more question....what size micron for sps? sorry for hijacking your thread phong....i promise that was the last question for me ;)

Hey no problem.. I highjack people's thread a lot so I don't mind ;D ... So these golden pearl good for SPS?? Is it the same frozen white stuff in a little bottle? I forgot the name of it ::) ..

oyster eggs.....i have some of those...small container (frozen)...i feed once in awhile but never noticed any differance from feeding aminos or rods frozen mix. i don't think this "golden pearl" stuff is frozen because they ship ups ground...however ...i might be wrong.

Not sure on if sps like it. I've only used it before when trying to raise some freshwater fish. Sergio you are right it is not frozen its a dry food.
