Are carbon doser v1 any good ?

besides the controller, to me it seems the only major difference is the co2 reactor with float or optical sensor to monitor amount of co2. i'm going to try to diy this by adding a float sensor, bio balls to a reactor and adding that to a 2 chamber carx.

Easy way to tell if your CO2 tank is empty if pH keeps going up. Also, on the off chance the regulator breaks or co2 dumps, you'll know about it and can react as needed.
Ok, but the same can be noticed if your alk falls with a trident. My alk falls 2ish dkh a day.

I really don't think this is needed, seems like a lot for very little benefit.
