Bumping up for an interesting read for people who did not see it.

For the swap I will glue frags vertically like a tree for temporary transport. Since a number of people pop off the frag when they get home and toss the plug, any encrusting growth is lost. But we should still frag early to let it heal over?

I think it depends on the person, but I prefer "newish" cut frags.

Yeah I prefer new ones too, otherwise its hard to pop them off the plug or it damages them more. I will probably cut my swap frags 1 week out

Personally, I’m fine either way. I pop them off the plug regardless. It also depends on how much damage the frag sustained.

I’ve mounted sideways , straight up and as long as it grows and is healthy I was fine with it
