Bettas!

I went to Neptune’s the other day and took my daughter along, so for once I ended up in the freshwater section. I could not believe the colors of betta fish - when did this happen?

The pic doesn’t do the black bettas justice… their scales were bright silver like a discoball, this one looked like she was painted for Dia de los muertes.

Yes, you can keep a group of females bettas together. It’s called a sorority. If you have a big tank with lots of plants you can also add 1 male betta. I used to breed bettas many years ago. The mating process is very interesting. Have you ever seen a fish blow bubbles? Lol. The male betta takes care of the eggs too once the mating process is done.
