I bit the bullet on a lid - went with TopLids. It’s gonna cost a bit but should do everything I want/need - 2 afs ports, 1 plank port, lid for overflow, evaporation cover, black netting, etc. Guess it’s my Xmas gift to self. Spoke to Tyler for around 30 mins and he was honest and informative as we walked thru what I wanted.

There is BF discount but I wasn’t paying too much attention once the lid cost what it did.

I liked how their stuff looked on their Youtube channel, they're one of the few that regularly make CADE lids as well. I'll have to give him a call.

Tyler was great to work with. I think you will really like the lid. Mine has worked out great. Get what you pay for.

Nice deals again from aquatic collection.

Getting paid by weekly sucks, I definitely would have grabbed some more salt.

Zooming in I would definitely say that the emerald crabs, trochus snails, and tomini tang seems like stand out deals.

Here's an unboxing @The_Lazy_Reefer :
I just installed an A8SE on my display today to replace one of my busted XR30 Pro G5s.

Quick PAR readings show just as good if not slightly higher PAR than a xr30 g5 pro. The blues go a deeper blue than the xr30 g5 pro. I had all settings the same but had to bump cool white up to 25% to match the XR30's look at only 5% white.

To mount it with a XR30 slide you need to drill the holes in the slide slightly bigger to fit the larger diameter screws that the A8SE uses. It comes with 4 eyelet thumb screws to hang the light. I just used these to screw the slide onto the light. Once installed using the included thumb screws the slide doesn't seat fully and there is slight play up and down. I didn't find this to be an issue and left it as is. But you could get shorter screws and that would solve this problem. I also used a small pick to stick into the eyelet hole of each thumb screw and used it as leverage to tighten each just a tad more than finger tight.

Middle light is the A8SE. If anyone gets this, note that the time zone cannot be changed. There is an option but it always errors. Just leave it and convert to local time. (I.e. 12hr offset if you want on at 9am, start your program on at 9pm). I included a picture in case this is confusing.

One slightly annoying quirk is you can only adjust the light settings at each hour mark and have to program all hours. So for hours you want the light off you need to go to that time and make all channels 0%.

Considering upgrading from my current light but this is going to be too big for my IM 15

No plans to get 5 black tangs?
Lmao unfortunately it says one per house hold, otherwise i would have took out a few loans, maybe a mortage on someone else’s house (JK) and than sold them for a profit in walmart's parking lot using beta cups.

By that pic it would have been a solid plan.

Not a fun purchase but had to buy it. I already have a much smaller version of this, but it only lasts for less than 60 minutes with the items I have connected to it (not the heater and lights of course).

$371 is hard to beat...best price I've seen it since I started looking into these...if you have a discover card, you can get 5% back as well.

Itll be a fun purchase when powerouttages hit
