Brine Shrimp Raising

I've built 2 successful hatcheries for BBS. The brine seem to start disappearing at about 5-7 days old. My question is how to raise them to become adults. Also, what foods do they eat. I put rotifers in there. Do they eat them?

Why would you want adults?

They do not eat rotifers. They are filter feeders...bacteria, microalgae, etc

You can't raise them in the hatchery ;) They'll need a larger tank, frequent water changes (they poop and molt a LOT) and constant feeding (they eat a lot).

They would but you'll spend more on raising them then it would cost to get a higher quality frozen one :)

Unless they are enriched, they're not really something you want to feed to your reef tank.

OK. I've bathed the live ones in a bit of Selcon for a day or two. Does that enrich them enough for the fish? If not, should I just stick to the frozen and only feed live for treats every once in a while?
