Can I DBTC this?

I know it isn't anything fancy, but I have some dragon tongue macro algae (Heymenia spp.?). I don't have a terribly large amount, but as it grows it needs to be pruned back; I'll be needing to trim it back pretty soon. Am I allowed to put a (or a couple) small piece into the DBTC program, or is it strictly for corals only? Thanks!
 
Well, I don't have a whole lot at all (just a small colony that has planted itself on my live rock), so the trimmings will be pretty small, as I don't want to prune the entire colony away; I'd guess pieces about 1"-1.5" long? It is a very quick grower though! Or maybe I'll give it a couple more months, let it really grow some, and them prune it. We'll see :)
