I had posted previously about an older biocube 14 I had acquired with CF bulbs. I was looking for replacements.
I’m having trouble finding reliable information on the degradation timeframe for CF bulbs. With traditional fluorescent tubes, the spectrum would shift toward red after about 9–11 months, and we typically replaced them yearly. However, I can’t seem to recall how long CF bulbs maintain their intended spectrum before shifting or needing replacement.
I’ve searched online but haven’t turned up any solid info — it feels like all the CF bulb resources have disappeared.
Does anyone have information, personal experience, or a link to a resource about CF bulb spectral life and degradation?
Thanks in advance — much appreciated!
