Neptune Aquatics

CFM preview

We are only going to get some more NPS. This has become a tradition for us.

Also to bring @ReyDeFarts and @MichaelB their stuff.

Not planning to buy anything else...unless @Arvin R still has this beautiful bright green torch on the top left of his video still for sale by the time we get there...I hope not…:).
Good eye! Nice torch.

What is it @Arvin R ?

That just sold tonight. Darn...I'll be sure to get more in and ping you when it's ready . Water World Aquatics (the booth next to us) has some beautiful HGs, be sure to check them out! We are currently out of any HGs but have plenty of other nice unique corals. If anyone has the room we've decided to bring out our huge bicolor kingspawn (huge head frogspawn) which is splitting into 2 heads.

This thing is a true beauty and is a piece I'm contemplating putting into my personal display if it doesn't sell.
Snow white brand new looking frag plugs are also good Indicator. It was just fragged.
This isn't necessarily true. A lot of vendors will remove corals from old plugs and transfer to new plugs to prep for a show. It presents and looks cleaner. Also fresh cut Euphylia as long as cut through just skeleton and not flesh would be perfectly fine if just fragged. Ask to see the flesh band is the sure way for Euphylia to tell if it's healthy.

For acros, for most you'll want to see that it has at least started to encrusted over the glue to know it's healed and not fresh cut. Keep in mind that some more experienced acro keepers prefer fresh cut.

Dang how much is that big boy

No name HG variant but one of the not so commonly seen varieties. Some sell it as Avalanche HG or prenup HG. My take on names is to only pass on the name if I have verified lineage, or if it is nice enough for us to put the time to aqua culture it then we will add it to our KCC Signature line and keep a mother colony. (name added to trace lineage back to our aqua culture facility). I don't like the name game for the sake of just giving any coral we sell a name.

ya know what they say..."if ya have to ask...." lol
$360 for this show piece.
Is the saying if you have to ask you can’t afford it lol? I usually am gravitated more towards the priced out frag tanks. Unless I see something I like and then I’ll ask the price. Not because I can’t afford it. More to see if I just like it or if I like like it lol

+1 about mariculture stuff.

I was told by at least one vendor that their corals are 100% aquaculture, but then see either very obvious mariculture cement tiles with the little tags or stuff of a size that rarely comes out of tanks

Make sure you’re confident in the coral surviving before you buy

I am glad it sold. This would have been a strong buy. But somehow I felt annoyed by the existence of the VIP event the night before, where folks can snap the best pieces.

Anyone see any clams this time? Got a derasa at the last one and could probably be tempted with a maxima this go around.

Sounds like Port City Corals. Most of his euphylia is obviously mariculture but very healthy and has been in his tanks for a very long time. He has a store location in Stockton. Robert the owner is a good guy.

I want more NPS! What pieces are you hoping to find? And who's got them?

Also, thank you for bringing my stuff. I will be there after all. Don't bother lugging it in. I'll come out and get it from you when it's convenient for you. See you and your family there!
Sounds good :). Probably more of the ones we already have - I do not think they are very popular, and only a couple of vendors seem to have them.
