great example of how lightly we treat our mechanicals, not just talking amateur hobbyists but even diehards.
such a contrast after working for a mechanical contractor for many years now. all commercial buildings have every fail-safe device imaginable - lead/lag pumps, water leak detectors, mechanized ball valves, etc etc.
