I thought I posted ----anyways Dophlin pet village in cambell also does maintenance

I doubt Tylers service reaches to Los Altos hills which is exactly why I didn't add him to the list of people that were close to the area, or I know for a fact would travel that far. Very few LFS are willing to drive as far as Max's guys go. They go all over Norcal!

These guys aren't exactly open-water fish (they'll sortof stake out an area of the rockwork as "theirs") but they're fun to watch, stay small, and they like each other better than most damsels: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+28+2073&pcatid=2073

They are highly known to create a picking order and the weakest usually drops out. Over time they are like any other damsel or chromis in that respect. Even LA denotes they can become aggressive.

LA's assessments of "agression" in fish is usually a joke. They'll lump all fish in one group together and give them the same label when it suits them.

Actually LA tends to make things sound nicer ;). I am not (nor never) relying on them for my info but rather a decade of wholesaling them, having kept them myself, maintained many tanks with them and sold them while working at a LFS. In this case LA is very correct as while a bit "nicer" then your average damsel they still behave like a damsel in most cases.

How about these apples..... http://www.bluezooaquatics.com/productDetail.asp?did=1&pid=2021&cid=15
semi aggressive and one of the owners of Blue Zoo also owns a SI collection station, one of only two.

Both sites are in the business to sell fish. They do so by trying to have as accurate as info as they can. Now most of the info is more geared to selling more so they tend IMO to be a little light on how mean some things can get. Kevin Kohen, the director of Live Aquaria, is about the most knowledgeable MO fish person I know. He's been in the biz a long time and has a thirst (still does) for knowledge.

If even a smaller % of the fish have a tendency to be semi aggressive IMO/IME the proper thing to say is they are semi aggressive. Anything short of that can and will come back and bite you in the ass.

Since you will be getting "My tank" I would suggest 5 more chromis, I'm gonna give you the two that are still in it right now and they will school together which will look cool, a big yellow tang, flame angel, pair of clowns, six line wrasse and maybe a diamond goby to watch sift the sand...
That is just my two cents though....:)

fire fish are awesome fish. they school and have a huge amount of color. stick with gobies they have the most personality and color. get one tang. here are some firefish in my girlfriends 12 g nano hanging out together
