I have to SPS that I am not sure what they care can you guys let me know.
Is the first one WD variation and not sure if the second one is rainbow splice or not sure the name.

PC Rainbow for the first and ARC Master Yoda for the second are my guesses. I'd say neither are WD variations or Rainbow Slice.

first - pc rainbow
2nd - rainbow loom or palleta pink tip - could be arc master yoda, but one ive grown has more yellow than green.

i agree with @dangalang - none of those are WD or splice. not even close.

WD is a strain of A. tenuis, and rainbow splice is a strain of A. millepora iirc

To me, your coral do not look like either species of acropora, but they're still really nice.

first looks close to PC rainbow
Second looks close to ARC master yoda

You can't just call if that if you don't actually know what it is though. There are many coral that look like this.

i agree with you. this topic has always came up, ive always gave my opinions, and it never ends up well from my experience.

dont get me wrong.. you claimed the 2nd pic is a rainbow splice. i am sure, much like other sps collectors here - if you spend $200+ on a sps, you would damn know what the name of it is. dont buy something in the $10 sps bin and call it what you think it is cause it looks llike it without linage - high end collectors think differently than your average buyers.

Totally. Way too many out there looking for IDs on coral they bought with no lineage or commonality to named high end pieces

I agree. If you didn’t buy it with a name, it doesn’t have a name - just enjoy the coral

If you have to ask what the name for a coral is, it should not be sold unless it is sold specifically as 1) unnamed or 2) using a completely new name.
