I hear there are a few people working on image recognition software like that, I thought it would be awesome to have an app for wild edibles. Take a pic of a mushroom and it would tell you what it was and if it was edible. Lots of liability with that though. Maybe just have it show you a few pics of what it thinks it is, and let you judge.

That App would either kill a few Eastern Block transplants, or save a bunch.... one of our nasties is their common edible mushroom.

Thus far Google Google has not worked on anything but barcodes and common logos for me
