I have broken off a nice size piece of this Green Monti that forms pillars, with light purple edges.

Piece was originally acquired from yourreef.com last year at the Bay Area Coral Conference. Grows pretty fast.

Rules:

Must be able to contribute 2 pieces to DBTC prior to selling or trading.

Must have a tank thread and experience with SPS.

Had a reef for more than a year.

Lastly, give me a piece if I ever lose this.


Pick a Number between 1-10.

Will deliver at the Dec meeting.
 
Since there are only 2 of you, I can break off an extra piece and make that 2 frags. Will you guys be at the meeting Saturday, I can bring it then.
 
I was wondering if anyone still had this piece ?
It has always been one of my favorites - originally bought from Your Reef and have not been able to find the same piece of recent.

I just looked at your picture from your DBTC for the Mystery Monti. It looks like it could be the same coral. Mine also encrusted at the bottom, the plating was thick, and formed pillars, especially at the edges. I just emailed Your Reef in Roseville to see if John still has that piece, if not, I will have to take you up on your offer. Only problem is I am in Reno, so I would have to find an excuse to come down to the Bay Area. :)

I had emailed the picture that I had to John and spoke with him today. He could not find that colony and thinks he may have lost it. If you don't mind I would love a frag of your Mystery Monti. Just let me know when you think you may be going to Nevada City and I will let you know when I will be in SF again. Is there something I can bring for you in return ?
 
I'll be going for Brewfest, IIRC it's on the 25th of July. I'll most likely be arriving on Friday evening, but could pack the coral to last a while.

I ask nothing in return, it's just nice to know that it's appreciated :)

I will be in SF, helping my mom and brother move out. Where abouts are you located ? If it works out - maybe a possible pickup on Sunday morning, that is when we leave with the moving truck. If not, no worries, we will work something else out.

Hi Joyce,

I've had some issues with my pup and at this point can't have guests over as she gets too riled up. I will let Chris (Aquatic Central) know you are looking for a frag of the coral in question, it's in his 215 in the front of the store, he's on Ocean Avenue in SF. If you can make it over there he'll have a frag waiting for you.

I'll let you know what's up after I call him @ 11.

that is a very nice monti I would also like to have a frag.Of course if you hook me up with Chris at Aquatic Central. Let me know.
 
Chris has the OG, I do not, mine encrusts. I'm sure Chris would be happy to cut you a frag, perhaps I can ferry one to the swap for you if I get the time :)
