That is the split that came off. It may be splitting again but it looks like it's reformed where it looks like it's splitting in the middle of that picture.

Caught a picture of the mushroom a little after I fed it some mysis. Never seen it balloon like that. It was so cool! Went back to normal about 15 minutes later or so
