If you are doing Zeovit, I don't think you should be dosing nitrates. That's defeating the purpose of running Zeovit in the 1st place. Zeovit systems requires time to settle, if you keep changing the start parameters, it will keep pogoing and your corals will not like it.
Set it up, let it stabilize then tweak the flow through the reactor and whatever Zeo blue bottle magic liquids you are doing to achieve the levels you want.
