Elos 120 (liter)

For those who have not seen this tank in person, John has the rockwork off the back to give the scape great depth. There are some nice open passages through what looks like a wall in the FTS. The glass is spotless allowing it to vanish. Very nice.

After watching you feed, the tubs are going to love the new home.
 
Thanks, Richard. Speaking of YOU, here's some more of your donations looking incredible, unique, killer, extremely bizarre, (OK, 'nuff). The one little blasto is still being very shy about emerging from it's skeleton. It's cousin of a different color is in full bloom. And you were right about the color of the big welsi's.............POP! Did i mention thanks for the coral? I sure hope so. :beer: Thanks to Jim at Green Marine for the unusual mushroom donation pictured at the bottom. It's HOT :exmark:

The 'chocolate' and green center one looks a little slow, but will do. A couple of mine ate yesterday and they are begging this morning. My tank is so much better for your work on the saw. Thank you.

Looks to be a Rhodactis of some strain/hybrid to me. I've looked a lot of mushrooms in the mouth and this guy is pretty special! Jim at Green Marine could confirm. I'm just glad it landed in my tank! :)
 
Speaking of shrooms.............I almost forgot to post a pic and say once again that Jim at Green Marine is "The Bomb" when it comes to cool shrooms. This one makes you want to stare at it's subtle color striations. Look close. Also, Yardartist's cool mini-blasto colony has now filled out and is inflating all heads just fine.

Thanks for the kind words.
Each piece (LPS) is displayed separately, angled very slightly forward with space around each piece for contrast. All this is in a state of flux as individual pieces grow new heads or fill out. It's real easy to rearrange the entire lower section to best use the space. Also handy for tooth brushing individual pieces when necessary. I'm lucky that much of my work is done from home and I have the time to perform daily maintenance when needed.

It looks a lot like the Elos that I saw first at Aquatic Gallery in Milpitas. Same size, similar layout and yes, all the LPS displayed on the substrate of their tank was for sale.
 
Richard is right. I found some room and Bill the Cookie Jar contributed a striking donation to the aquascape. From his personal collection and in honor of Justin's recent gonipora presentation at our last meeting.................(drum roll, please)..........My first REAL goni since the "golf ball" goni that was dyed yellow and died shortly after acquisition! This was placed high on the reef last night.

Side note: ever notice that when you type gonipora that the spell check suggested correction is gonorrhea? :Sp

Looks good, and you'll be happy to know that the red one you got from me is the most hardy of my gonis, but remember to use latex gloves when handling it to keep yourself disease free, or at least to not become inflicted with another one. :O

I know I should wear protection but...............since I only frequent my own tank.........(well, that's not entirely true... ;))
The tips of each fringe has a bright spot of reflective color on it. RB blue LED's make them light right up like little laser pointers. Very colorful and looking very hearty after completing it's first full day at the top of the reef. Lights ramp up by mid-day to 850 watts combined Mh and T5.
