High Tide Aquatics

Eric's 125 build.

I would bet that there is a lot of good bacteria that can last cold. But that is just a guess. Since you will likely have a mini cycle anyway, any reason not to use old sand other than worrying about spiking nutrients with live die off? Kind of the same strategy I am thinking for when the live rock shows up, throw it in a big enough system and let the good bacteria work.

Well it's in place but now I can't get my Apex to connect and when I do the controls do nothing on the power bar. I've reset both apex and my router several times. I guess ill try a hard reset.

Well that was fun. The tank is wet and everything is transfered. The L1 pump im using was completely seized up. 30 min in some muriatic acid did the trick. The tank is also super loud right now. The secondary drains union is leaking. So as long as I run it with the primary wide open its all good. Ill figure out how to tighten it a little later. I need a break.

Well the constant, steady drip is now just a slight drip. It really sucks to have the secondary drain bulkhead leak after you fill everything up. I swear it didn't leak on my test fill. I'm printing a close quarters bulkhead wrench to hopefully fix the last 10% of the leak
