I just ditched my peristaltic pumps (which I was using for two part). They're too noisy and I've had it.

I'm going back to the cheapo aqualifters for two part and a float valve for top off.

Ever try making a sound box for them? I can't hear mine what so ever in the box I made for them :)

That's not something I've tried, but it seems like a good idea. Still, I'd rather just have something that's quiet to begin with. >:(

I do have an idea... I don't know if anyone's tried this before or not, but a force sensor could be used to make a fairly precise dosing controller. At a predefined interval it would weight the container being dosed from and turn on its output (either a pump or for gravity feed, a solenoid valve) until the container weighs a certain amount less. There interface could just be two knobs: one for controlling the amount to dose per day, another for controlling the dosing interval.

Hmm. I think I might have a new project!

Reef Fanatic Level Control Kit is what I purchased for my ATO. It has two float switches that come with it and can be programed different ways.
Tom Aquatics Aqua Lifter—Dosing Pump is the pump I use for the ATO. It moves around 3 gallons per hour.
My salinity is now very stable. The switch is very sensitive and you don't need a big drop in water level for it to turn the pump on and fill up.
