Eyeglass “blue light” coating?

Does anyone think the anti blue light coating for eyeglasses is worthwhile? I think the idea is to block the “harmful blue light” from our work setup but if that’s real, does that mean we should all be getting blue light eyeglass coatings for our 10000x brighter and even shorter wavelength/UV spectrum reef tanks?

A while back there was a blue light thread on R2R and an ophthalmologist weighed in and basically said unless we are looking directly into our lights for long periods of time then we’ll be fine.

The way I look at it is it comes down to intensity and duration. You can’t look directly at the sun for very long before causing damage, but you can look at a field of grass where the sun’s light is being reflected all day. In our reef tanks, you may occasionally look up and see the lights directly but the majority of the time we’re looking at the light that is reflected off of our corals.
