Food grade Calcium Chloride - Good enough for reefing?

Hi all,

BRS's Calcium Chloride just went from $19.99 to $39.99 a few days ago . I was looking for an alternative and came across this food grade anhydrous Calcium Chloride:

The price comes out to $135 including shipping for 50lbs (15% off first order).
So for 7lbs, it comes out to $18.8 instead of $44 with BRS.

Is it good enough for reefing though? I contacted MoreBeer.com and got the certificate of analysis (please see attached). Results are not really helpful though.
What do you guys think?

Should be fine. I use food grade soda ash for alk

Yeah, that’s not a very helpful COA. But, because it’s food grade, it’s probably a safer bet than the driveway de-icing salt people used to use.

Yep!
And I just realized that BRS sells Calcium Chloride Dihydrate and not Calcium Chloride Anhydrous.
About 25% of what’s in that pouch is water…
