Funny story

Heheh, good going Ian, I was thinking of posting this as well, but not having a scanner handy that'd be a bit of a pain. The magazine itself is a really nice magazine, would consider getting it if it wasn't for that a subscription would cost almost $14 per magazine due to the shipping I'm guessing.

Arnold, thanks, it wasn't our write up, the guy we met up with eventually sent us questionnaires and tried rewrote what we said.. there were a few incorrect bits about my story, but eh, it was still cool to see my tank in a printed magazine.. TAKE THAT REEFKEEPING TOTM!! :p

Only downside I saw with the article was that the color of the corals look drowned out a ton because a flash was used. The theme between the two tanks I think was Ian was a really high end coral tank where as mine was a more common coral tank, however looking at Ian's corals many UK readers might go "Eh... that's an expensive piece?" .. I sent a few pictures that I took (almost identical to the ones he showed me) without flash, properly white balanced, and there was a night and day difference. Although he said they only will take flash photos because it captures the outline better or something.. even though after he saw the photos I sent him he asked me to take some more of the tank using that technique.

Overall, it was a fun experience, of course it was all Ian's fault since he managed to convince me to come with him on the journey :D

Great articles! I like that I have seen the tanks in person. They are not represented well in the photographs.

Journalism rarely gets it all right. You are both lucky the writing is so close to reality.

I've met Iggy but I didn't know about that mag. I just know about UltraMarine which is an incredible UK mag. Reef Builders should have some on display at BAYMAC in fact :)
