Good thing I have auto topoff

I have the osmolator. It's suppose to be reliable but I came home froma 5 day vacation and the tank was running super low. I thought I was going to lose everything. Found out the optical sensor failed.

One thing good about Tunze is they stand ny their product. Roger sent me back a new one.
 
You should try the autooff one. It's pretty good. Get the dual switches.. Just in case the first one stuck, the second will stop the pump. No overflow 8) ..
 
yeah me neither. usually the sensor gets covered with calcium build up that can be cleaned off but mine would think there was water there even when it was out.
 
Like elite says, if you have the float switches, do get a dual switch so you have redundancy. 2 days ago I found my regular switch didn't float all the way up (maybe crud, snail or something else prevented that), but thankfully i had another one above it so I didn't end up with a flood and dropped salinity.
