Reefers, I'm thankful to all of you for the advice and support I've received over my first year of reefing. You have been integral in my tanks success, and the setup of my new classroom tank. I thank all of you.

Second, anyone know where I can buy 2x4 lumber with straight edges instead of rounded?

Enjoy your feast today.

I don't think they sell nicely planed 2x4s anywhere, you can get 1x4s with straight edges but two of those together isn't a 2x4. You could run it through a planer on all 4 sides, but you'll lose an 1/8" or so, so your 2x4 would be more like 1-3/8 x 3 -3/8

If the bigger measure is what you need (4") get a 2x6
Beronio is a good place to start.
Depending on how long the piece needs to be if yiu need the exact 2" x 4" a 4x6 and table saw can take care of that.

You could probably even get them to do the cut for you as well. I think even Home Depot gives you one free cut.

You can still use pocket screws with rounded corners, as long as the surfaces are touching flat having that edge not touch isn't critical.
