the store front is a little bigger than Neptune. They are more fish and reptile than coral. Not a huge coral selection like Neptune, AC, or VA on corals. Half the store is reptile, and half aquatic. Their equipment selection is on par with AC and Neptune, They do have have a really large stock of AI and Eccotech products, also Fluval lighting and Hygger. Their tank selection is pretty dismal though, unless they have more in back somewhere. Neptune has the best tank selection I have seen. They did have a really nice live rock tank though, with a large selection of live rock.
When we were there the staff was friendly despite the store being packed to capacity. They handle the flow pretty well. Just know that you might have a 30 minute wait to get your fish. There is a line you wait in and eventually an associate will help you when done with their present customer. I thought the lines were just for their sale, but they have permanent signage so I would say it is how they operate.
Prices are on par with Neptune, AC, and VA. Worth the drive? Unless you are in Sac for other reasons not really. Cool to visit? Yup! But the wife and I have visited just about every fish shop in the Bay Area. We still need to hit SF, maybe next week. But we have been to Oakland, Livermore, Hayward, Santa Cruz, and now Citrus Heights.
