Many Wrasses are very easy to sex because males and females have completely different markings. Now don't ask about sub-adult males or Terminal males In the case of the Blue Star leopard wrass above the female has that divided look with blues, reds and yellows. The male has mostly green markings:

Usually but Leopards don't always turn unless you put two in the tank. Plus I'm impatient and hate waiting.
